The University Grants Commission (UGC) announced that because of the prevailing COVID - 19 pandemic the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) will not be conducted for the academic session 2021 - 22.
UGC also stated that Central Universities Common Entrance Test might be implemented from the next academic session (2022 - 23). Know more about CUCET here...
What is CUCET?
Last year, the Union education ministry constituted a committee to look into modalities for the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) for admissions to all UG courses at central universities in accordance with the NEP 2020.
The committee has submitted its report, the ministry has come out with the decision that CUCET will not be conducted for the academic session 2021 - 22. And it might get implemented from the next academic session (2022 - 23).
